Depart the hotel for the famous Golden Triangle, where the mighty Mae Khong River joins the Mae Ruak at Sobruak village and forms “The Triangle”, where the borders of three countries -Thailand, Laos and Myanmar – converge. Visit The Hall of Opium museum and ascent to the summit of Doi Phukhao, a beautiful panoramic view point. The views of The golden Triangle over Laos and Myanmar are very impressive on a clear day. Descend and take a long -tail boat cruise along the Mae Khong River into Myanmar and Laos. On the way back to the hotel, make stop to visit the historical site of Chiang Saen city (A.D.1328) at Wat chedi Luang Temple. includes transportation, English speaking guide, Long-tail motor boat, and Admission fees. SCT.2# Chiang Rai city Tour – Half Day During the late 13th century, various Tai tribes made their way south out of vulnerable lands in present day south-west China, into the lands that were to become Thailand and Laos. Chiang Rai was one of early capital of these relocate Tai, and became the basis of a “Lanna Thai” Kingdom. The City tour start from the hotel by the local mode of 3-wheel transportation called Samlor (rickshaw or tricycle) to Chiang Rai city. Visit the king Mengrai Monument and the Hill Tribe Museum. Continue to Wat Phra Knew where the emerald Buddha image of Bangkok, was formerly housed in 1434 A.D. Then onto Wat Pha Singha and to the daily fresh food market of Chiang Rai town. The tour continues by minibus to Wat Rongkhun (The White Temple), the most famous and unique temple in Chiang Rai. Be ready for our soft adventure journey on Maekok River at the hotel boat pier. Board motor long tail boat – 1 hour approximately up stream, watch and enjoy the beautiful scenery pass by on both bank. Arrive at the Karen tribe village and elephant camp. The Karen tribe had migrated from Myanmar into Thailand over than 150 years ago and at the present day developed skills in capturing and training elephants for transport instead off logging in the former time. SCT.4# Half Day Chiang Rai Architecture. The tour begins by hotel limousine to “The White temple”, the most famous and unique temple in Chiang Rai. The paintings and murals inside the temple are stunning.
