”This is a special place.”

Mr.Basil from Thailand Stayed August, 2014

After staying at the resort last weekend and spending much time experiencing the ‘magic’ I have tried to put this into words. Best facilities, and I feel this is desirable to get the ‘magic’ across – it is indeed a ‘special place’ unlike all others in Chiang Rai. ….read more.

“A lovely hotel”

Roesmary P. from London, United Kingdom Stayed March, 2014

We spent only one night in this hotel and greatly appreciated the comfort and idyllic setting after a long tiring journey. The rooms, spacious and very well furnished, are set in beautiful tropical gardens. Fountains, pools and statues in abundance. There is a lovely pool with Jacuzzi to relax in before enjoying Happy Hour cocktails in the pretty garden (Be prepared for mosquitoes) We had a delicious dinner on the terrace overlooking the river, and the breakfast buffet is real 5* standard. We would have liked to stay longer

“Relaxing Oasis in Chiang Rai”

Rancher from Toronto, Canada Stayed February 2014

We loved this hotel! We got there near the end of our 19-day trip in SE Asia, and we were ready for some luxury and relaxation. It was perfect, short of being on the beach. Our room was a villa, a duplex I think, although we never heard of saw anyone next door. A lovely porch with a swinging sofa, a great huge shower room larger than all of my closet combined! Lovely grounds, on the river with a gorgeous pool and chairs to relax. A beer garden in the afternoons down in front of the restaurant. Decent selection for breakfast, we didn’t eat at the dinner buffet–it was pricey I thought. We did try their Italian a la carte restaurant, and it was very nice I thought. The hotel is a bit isolated from the city, so it’s a tuk tuk ride away. We took the free shuttle down to the night market one evening, and a tuk tuk home – no problems. This is a relaxed resort, not plastic. But it’s very well run, the staff were all super great. All in all a great stay

“A little paradise on earth”

Frederic M. from Paris, France Stayed December 2013

We stayed 3 nights. All the staff was really nice and welcoming. The hotel is in a middle of a lush garden with huge banana trees and ponds. The bedroom we had was quite large with a very comfortable bed and a separate “open air” shower room. Very clean and quiet. The Thai restaurant is in front of the river, delicious and spicy. We didn’t have the chance to try the wine bar although the wine list looked interesting. The spa is very clean too, the massages are high quality. This was 3 days of relaxation in the nature

“Amazing dreamt wedding in Legend Chiang Rai”

Helen & Cedric from China Stayed March 2014

Being a couple French-Chinese, we had our 3 days wedding celebration in the Legend Chiang Rai Boutique River Resort and Spa with close family and friends. It has been an amazing experience. Some of the guests arrived earlier, to visit the surroundings, and some even extended their stay as they have been completely charmed by the place. Indeed, the resort is very quiet, located just on the border of the river, the rooms are very comfortable, the entire resort is well taken care of, the food in both restaurants is very good and tasty and the staff is mostly very friendly and helpful (we really feel the sense of service of the staff). Speaking of staff, we would like to give a special thanks to the 2 ex Club Med GO Hoania and Eve. They did more than the extra mile for us to feel at home and they always kept smiling even when we were having last minute requests and being stressed by the wedding. They were even foreseeing our requests, a big + for the wedding preparation. They have been the key component of the success of our wedding. We had also massage a couple of times, and most of our guests did as well, it was very nice having the Thai massage outside facing the river. You could find it a little bit pricey vs outside massage locations, but isn’t it priceless to be facing the beautiful river, having the sound of nature around you, and not being obliged to get a taxi or tuk tuk right after being so peaceful and relaxed? In summary, it has been the perfect place for the most important day of our life. And more than us, it is the guests, all of them, who have been dithyrambic about the resort and our wedding celebration

“3 weeks at the Legend”

Alian R. from Zurich, Switzerland Stayed February 2014

We stayed 3 weeks at a pool villa at the Legend and we enjoyed the at the resort It was exactly what we were looking for and we enjoyed every single minute at The Legend. The hotel is run a discreet but very efficient way and we could always feel how the staff stands behind the GM. Below a short list of the positive points according our feelings; – Location and design of the resort – Generous setup of the pool villa – You feel in the countryside despite the short distance to town – Tranquility within the resort – Maintenance and cleanliness of rooms, garden and other public facilities – Variety and quality of food in both restaurants – Legendary Thai attitude of your well trained, helpful and attentive staff
