In the morning, we will visit one of the most respected temples in Chiang Rai, Wat Prathat Doi Tung. Afterwards, we will drive to the King’s mother flower gardens and her winter villa.

CEI 8 : Half Day Tour

Doi Mae Salong

We will depart from the hotel for Doi Mae Salong to visit a Kuomintang (KMT) Yunnan Chinese settlement in the mountains west of Chiang Rai. Enroute, we will visit two tribal villages, the Yao and Akha, who are former opium farmers.

CEI 12 : Boat Trip along the  Kok River (3 hrs.)

Take a long-tail boat along the Mae Kok to a Karen village  and visit an elephant camp.  Return by the same boat.
