Mae Fah Luang Botanical Garden

Built in 1992 at 3600 feet (950 meters) above sea level, in front of Doi Tung Palace, the gardens are magnificently landscaped with meandering streams and fountains.

The Sculpture of Children Standing on one another in the centre of the Park received  the PATA (Pacific Tourist Associations) GOLD AWARD in 1993.

Over 70 species of cool climate and temperate ornamental and flowering plants from around the world. The botanical gardens and the nearby Arboretum were projects initiated by the recently deceased Princess Mother, an ardent conservationist and horticultural enthusiast.
